Webinar: Finally Write That Novel

June 5, 2024

Gotham Ghostwriters is proud to regularly host webinars that benefit both our clients and network of ghostwriters.

In June, we hosted “Finally Write That Novel,” a practical conversation for aspiring novelists focuses on how to overcome whatever has been holding you back from birthing your book, from time constraints to lack of industry knowledge, and beyond.

Panelists:

Nicola Kraus, Founder and Book Coach, The Finished Thought

With over 6 million copies in print in 32 languages, The Nanny Diaries was an international #1 best-seller and the longest-running hardcover best seller of 2002. In addition to publishing 9 more novels with Emma Mclaughlin, Nicola has contributed to The London Times, The New York Times, Redbook, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Self, Town & Country and Maxim, as well as two short story collections to benefit The War Child Fund: Big Night Out and Girls’ Night Out.

In 2015 she co-founded the creative consulting firm The Finished Thought, which helps the next generation of aspiring authors find their voice. Through her work there she has collaborated on several New York Times non-fiction bestsellers. Her first solo novel, The Best We Could Hope For, will be coming out next year.

Paul Lucas, Senior Literary Agent, Janklow & Nesbit Associates

Paul Lucas represents an eclectic mix of fiction and non-fiction at Janklow & Nesbit. He is generally looking for upmarket novels with strong plots, engaging voices and, generally, speculative elements (Katherine Arden, GennaRose Nethercott, Kailee Pedersen). He very occasionally represents short fiction (Dionne Irving & GennaRose Nethercott). Non-fiction interests include politics, history & technology (Bruce Gibney, Gregg Hecimovich & Cory Doctorow/Rebecca Giblin).
