Gathering of the Ghosts to Return
Bigger & Better November 10–11 in NYC
Registration opens today with a limited number
of Super Early Bird tickets available
We are thrilled to announce that the Gathering of the Ghosts — the first-ever national conference for the ghostwriting profession — is returning to New York City by popular demand with an extended two-day program in November and with a new co-host, the Association of Ghostwriters.
Once again, the event will be focused on bringing the profession “out of the shadows” and facilitating a conversation around industry-wide trends, challenges, and opportunities. This year, GOTG2 will also offer a broader array of programming for a wider community of writers with an interest in the field, including journalists, authors, and other editorial professionals looking to make the leap into collaborations, as well as experienced pros.
The expanded format is in direct response to the overwhelmingly positive feedback we received from the inaugural Gathering in January 2024, GOTG, where 90 percent of the attendees told us they left wanting more.
To meet this demand, GOTG2 will feature specialized break-out sessions and workshops with tracks focused on craft, client management, and marketing strategies to help the ideas and stories that ghosts are bringing to life stand out in an increasingly crowded marketplace. It will also include panel discussions and networking sessions with top literary agents and editors at major trade publishers.
The conference will also feature keynotes and panels that build on conversations started at the inaugural Gathering of the Ghosts around industry-defining challenges. These sessions will explore hot-button topics, such as peer-benchmarked pricing, including the results of the first ghostwriter compensation survey, collaborator visibility, and the use and misuse of AI technologies.
GOTG2 will return to the New York Academy of Medicine on November 10–11, 2025.
Registration for GOTG2 opens today, with a limited number of discounted Super Early Bird tickets now available for $499 using this registration link. Regular tickets will be priced at $799, so act fast!
In the meantime, stay tuned for announcements in the coming weeks about keynote speakers and panel lineups.
