Nate Roberson is Managing Director, Bookwriting, at Gotham Ghostwriters, where he oversees a broad array of nonfiction and fiction bookwriting projects. Before joining Gotham he spent many years acquiring, editing and publishing bestselling and award-winning nonfiction and fiction for the Crown Publishing Group, a division of Penguin Random House.
Nate has successfully acquired, edited and published an expansive list of commercial and literary nonfiction and fiction across a wide range of genres including business, suspense, thrillers, leadership, politics, technology, history, science, memoir, humor, sports and pop culture, science fiction, fantasy, crime fiction, oral histories, short story collections, and self-help.. Books he’s edited have topped the New York Timesbestseller list and have won awards including the Pulitzer Prize, the LA Times book prize, the British Book Award, the PEN/Hemingway, Edgar Awards, and numerous other accolades.
Prior to arriving at Crown, Nate worked for a number of other companies in the publishing industry including HarperCollins, the Waxman Leavell Literary Agency, and Kaplan Publishing. He is a graduate of New York University. He lives in Manhattan and originally hails from New Jersey, but hopes you won’t hold that against him.
