Publishing Pro Michael Signorelli Joins Gotham Ghostwriters to Lead Bookwriting Group

Gotham Ghostwriters, the nation’s premier ghostwriting agency, today announced the hiring of veteran editor Michael Signorelli as Managing Director of the company’s Bookwriting Group.

Signorelli joins the Gotham team after spending 13 years at two major publishing houses — first at Harper Collins and more recently as a Senior Editor at Henry Holt — where he developed a diverse list of notable titles. Among the books he worked on:

The North Water by Ian McGuire, which made the 2016 Man Booker Prize Longlist and was one of the New York Times Book Review’s ten best books of the year

• the highly-acclaimed biography Flash: The Making of Weegee the Famous by Christopher Bonanos

• the New York Times bestselling and Commonwealth Book Prize-winning debut novel The Death of Bees by Lisa O’Donnell

• the New York Times bestselling true-crime memoir The Most Dangerous Animal of All by Gary Stewart and Susan Mustafa

“Michael not only brings a great deal of expertise and experience to our agency — including work on many collaborations — but a sterling reputation and highly valuable connections within the publishing industry to boot. He also happens to be a charming devil with a keen business sense. All of which makes him the needle in the haystack we have been searching for to take our Bookwriting practice to the next level,” said Gotham Founder and CEO Dan Gerstein.

“We will be counting on Michael to put all those assets to work for our agency in building new relationships and partnerships, growing our client base, and expanding our service offerings.”

Signorelli, 35, is a true New Yorker. He is native of Yorktown and a graduate of Hamilton College in upstate New York. He currently lives in Westchester County with his wife and son. When he is not working with authors, he can be found fly fishing, watching soccer, and writing on his own. His work has been featured in The Paris Review Daily, McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, The Athletic, and Howler. Follow him on Twitter @EditorSig.
